Quetzalcoatl v1 (another draw to adopt thing)

Shun me all you want because the background is a bunch of gradients but I actually like how it looks~ C:

This was my second entry for =Taluns' draw to adopt thing~. I like how the shading came out on the chest a LOT.

Name - Quetzalcoatl
Species - Dragon/bird hybrid ( Quetzalcoatl is a feathered serpent god = genius!)
Gender - Male
Description - Quetzalcoatl takes up after like how a basilisk is born, a toad incubates a chicken's egg. But in this case its a dragon. (I'm to lazy to spell out Quetzalcoatl all the time so we'll shorten it by calling'em Q, k?) So Q was born with dragons since a female dragon had thought that a bird's egg outside her nest was a runaway egg from her nest. The mother dragon had rejected poor lil' Q and took him to the outskirts Teotihuacan (oh my god history is kicking in this now) were he would be 'adopted' by a family of toucans this is horrible I'm sorry they're the only bird species I know of that live around that area. He'd only grow up to about a few moths before the toucans' nest would be to small for him, this had set him on a journey to find a bigger nest. While flying over the skies he had spotted a stone structure that looked big enough for himself. When he had flown down to take a closer look he discovered weird creatures (people :'D) screeching and cheering under him. When he had landed the creatures had greeted him with cheer but also with fear because they had never seen such a beast as Q. Q had learned that these creatures enjoyed his company he believed that he would enjoy their company. The creatures had taught Q how to speak their language and he taught them about the stars (because magic dragon/birds are born with an A+ in astronomy). Not too long after this, there was a stirrup about a creature that had been killing one of the farmer's goats (chupacabra! :'D) when Q had went to investigate he had spotted the almost hairless brown creature that had spikes on its back. He'd had swooped down and took the weird creature back to his temple where he would question his doings. Q is quite a big softy and fell for the sly chupacabra's story that his hunting grounds were empty of prey so he had to kill the goats. Q had let go of the chupacabra and told the farmer that he had to give at least 2 goats to the chupacabra or he would have a punishment. The farmer did not take that lightly and planned a revolt on Q with other farmers that had been affected by the chupacabra. The farmers had failed and were killed under Q's command because he feared that the they would prove an influence to the people that his command was weak. Apparently, all it showed to the people was that he was monster for killing people. He was outraged that the people that appreciated him began to defy his command. He had left Teotihuacan to a random remote island in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico. Where he had met a pack of chupacabras that actually appreciated him because the one chupacabra he met was in it~.

TL;DR : Quetzalcoatl gets rejected by dragons and people but chupacabras approve! C:
